History

Thermes-Parc is a large-scale project for the Swiss Portes du Soleil region. It has been developed in several stages over a period of 30 years, as and when the necessary permits were obtained.

1948 saw the construction of the first well. The health-giving properties of this water, which seeps up from the very depths of the earth, became rapidly apparent … it is said that its properties far surpass those of any other thermal spring waters, not only in Switzerland, but also in the rest of Europe. It all started off with ‘a natural pool’ which was excavated by the owner of the time to allow people to benefit from the water and its health-giving effects.

The year 1984 was a milestone in the history of the thermal baths, with the inauguration of the first real pool.

In 1994, official approval was granted for development of the area, and the expansion stage could then begin.

1996 marked the opening of LA BERGERIE restaurant and the building of the first bridge over the Vièze.

In 1999, the final go-ahead was given for the construction of the complex. The project was then thoroughly reviewed, and adapted to meet changes in public demand for this type of leisure. In fact, visitors to the thermal baths are now looking for places that have authentic charm and character, with fun activities for the entire family rather than medical care centres.

In 2007, the DENTS BLANCHES and DENTS DU MIDI holiday Residences were built and were able to accommodate the very first tourists.

In December 2010, the NEW-GENERATION THERMAL BATH CENTRE was opened to the public, combining state-of-the-art technology, ecology and its own special charm.
